The end of February always brings the LaConner Smelt Derby. As usual, we were there with our posse.
There were very few smelt caught, but Savanna managed to win a $100 prize for biggest herring. Her Grandpa Doug would be proud. He loved this day! It is still fun, but it is not quite the same without his smelting advice and home made chum.

Edison Carnival: Kya is in the lead, slowing down the line going up the stairs.
Ryker to the left is waiting to race her down, but she chickened out and came back down the stairs. "Too steep" she said.
As usual, they loved all the games and had a great time.
