Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder....

Hello Gym.  It's been a long time.

I didn't realized how much I've missed you, until you were back in my life.  I know it's only been three weeks, but I think I might be in love.

Ryker's Commute

So here it is our old commute, out the door at 6:40am, from Ryker's perspective.

It's Friday because I'm wearing jeans and that bag has Ryker's school show and tell item in it which happens every Friday.

Boy was loving his shoes this morning.

We made it.  He wanted us all to get together.  That's Dawn, his old day care provider.

His view from the window, waiting for me to wave goodbye.

There I go...

There goes my car....

And then I see this!  I could have done without this shot Ryker!  I picture her happy and playing when I leave.  I didn't need to see her a sobbing mess!  She was waving just fine when I was at the window.  Girl must keep it together for me until I get in my car....she's so thoughtful.

He only took a few on the drive home, but I figured I'd include them all since it is his documentary.  Thank goodness for digital.   I would be pissed if I paid to have a roll of film developed and found 20 pics of this kid's shoes.

Oh These Little Piggy's

Kya will not let me do anything with her hair.  Not that I really want to, but I just want to train it to go to the sides and not to the front.  All her hair on top goes forward.  Numerous people have said it looks like a mullet and one of Kara's friends coined the term 'bullet' for her....you know, baby mullet.  I also feel bad that she has hair in her face all the time so a embracing a pony tail now and then would make me happy.  Anyway, this day I told her if she left the pig tails in and didn't rip them out instantly, she could have popcorn and watch a movie.  I thought if she left them in, she might forget about them and get used to it.  No such luck.  She left them in long enough to get the popcorn.  This picture was taken in June and she hasn't had anything in her hair since and I have tried!  Seth should be home soon and I'm officially putting him in charge of Kya's hair and wardrobe.  I'll take Ryker....his alarm goes off in the morning, he gets dressed and comes downstairs for breakfast.  He might be dressed goofy some days, but he's usually even weather appropriate.

Movie in, pigtails out..........little turd!

Grandma's Visit (part II)

I took these photos off my Mom's camera so they mirror a lot of the same activities that I just posted from mine, except I'm in some!  Yay!

See Ryker has been dying to get a picture with his Mom!

Children's museum

Let the show begin!

This one looks like a musical.  Maybe he'll take after his Grandpa Randy.

Checking in his patient on the fax machine.

Kya may be destined to be a vet rather than a dentist.  She was more interested in the oral health of this dog than her Grandma.

Eeewwwww!

Yes, IT, my computer doesn't seem to be working?  Oh, it's a fax machine?  Okay thanks.

Back to the Sedro Woolley fair again.  This was the first place Ryker wanted to go, the fun house.  He had to go by himself because he had a wristband and I didn't have tickets.  I was so worried he'd get scared in there by himself, but he made it through.  When he emerged, the only comment he had for me was that there were big kids pushing on the stairs and "that's just not safe."  He wasn't going to go again until he was a little bigger because he almost fell.  Works for me.  Let's hit some rides where I can keep an eye on you!

This was Kya for the first hour that Ryker and I were in the fair.  It was probably what Grandma looked like too for part of the time sitting in the car with her.  She joined us later for a couple rides.

Kya and I got a few tickets and joined "Mr. Wristband" on a few rides.  Oh the joy of being old enough to ride all the rides you want.

Kangaroo Farm

This was Ryker's second time, but Kya's first.

As usual, a great time had by all.  They even had a baby in the pouch this time.  None we could hold though.  I'm hoping someday we are there when they have ones the right age for holding.  We always seem to just miss it.

Post water fight strangeness

It's a good thing we have a secluded yard and probably a good thing summer is almost over.  These two have had enough outdoor naked time for a while.
Thanks for coming Grandma.  We had a blast!
