Kya couldn't remember ever going to the Kangaroo farm and it was time for the joeys to be there so we headed south with the Franklins!
It was the first time it was raining on our visit but it didn't ruin the fun.
Aidan making a friend.
Ryker's turn to feed the wallaby.
Check out the pouch on this one.....A baby!
Kya feeding Mama and trying to get a closer look at her joey.
Albino Wallaby
Red Kangaroo
I went first then started snapping pics of the "first timers." Aidan stepped right up next.
Pucker up!
I think my eyes would have been wide open if this thing was coming at me.
Classic response from a 6 year old after kissing a llama!
Grandma Patti's turn.
Johnny's up. Look at Ryker puckering his lips. Haha, he loved it and did it about 10 times. Once was enough for Kya. She didn't want to put the pellet in her mouth because it smelled like grass. This coming from the girl that eats about any herb she finds growing out of peoples gardens and straight wheatgrass. I couldn't convince her that it was probably about the same stuff though.
"Come on boys, which one of you is next?"
Yes, there was a joey to hold!
Kya was super serious about the responsibility of holding this little guy correctly. She loved it!
My camera died, but after this we headed to Mount Vernon and went bowling for Johnny's birthday.
