Movin' On Up

Kya has graduated to a Water Wiggles 2 and Ryker is a Pre2 now.  What does that mean anyway?  Not much, just that they are making good progress.  We have to drive quite a ways for a pool and I've been asked by inquiring parents if we are making the commute because I want them to be on the swim team when they are older.  It never even crossed my mind.  I think of swimming as a life skill, not a fun activity or a sport.  (Not to insult the sport of swimming, it's just not my goal to perfect the Butterfly at this age)  I learned to swim young and I think it's important that these two become proficient swimmers as soon as possible, especially considering the amount of time they spend on a boat and on docks.

See, if Kya ever needs to fish a ball out of the water while holding a ring on her head, she'll be able to without falling out of the boat!

Like I was saying....life skills...haha.

Ryker learned that if you pick up the cone and drop it real fast, you can make a water cannon.  Yep, he got in trouble.

They love to eat home made fruit pops.  Please let that never change!

Getting a little workout in at Dave's while Dad unloaded firewood.

Load two and enough room for one happy dog to ride along this time!

Camping in our yard again

Big Trucks

I think this was the first day of April this year.  It was snowing when we left for the Paccar Open House, but only in our neighborhood.  By the time we were a few miles from our house, it was gone.  It turned out the be one of the warmest April's we've had in a long time though.

Seth loving pushing over trees.  It wasn't nice enough to dry out the ground by April though and he was soon stuck in the muck!

The observer's start to arrive after hearing all the commotion.

Luckily our neighbor does this for a living though and was able to rig up a line around a tree, tow it out with our back hoe, and save the day.  Now that Seth knows that little trick though, it will probably make him that much more ballsy when tearing around in the mud.  I guess when you are gone fishing all summer and stuff needs to get done, you don't have much choice.  You can't sit around waiting for the perfect conditions!   That has kind of been our life motto lately....just do it, it will never be the perfect time!

Lil Sluggers

While I was in Phoenix, these guys made some serious improvements on their batting.  They had a "batting cage" set up in the shop and were getting after it!

Full uni's for 4 year olds....wow.

Little League day at the Mariners Game.  Free hats for the kids and a Mariner's bracelet for me because it was Mother's day.

First time on the field.  I'm sure it will be the first of many.

Felix Hernandez

They got to see the roof open while we were on the field.

The "American Moose" according to Kya.  She was too scared to take her picture with him, but wants to next time.  She also wants to invite him to her next birthday party.

Ryker loved the view from waaaayyyy up in our seats.  Great, he'll be ready for our Final Four nosebleed seats someday!

Is there a game going on?   We are just here to eat.

Made the jumbo tron.

Ready for some real baseball!

Bam!

Ready to run

Clapping and dancing on 2nd base.....just happy to be there.

"Heyyyyy Ryker, good hit."

"But we are going to kick your buuuuutt."
Okay, so those aren't really Miss Abby's words, but they will be soon I'm sure!

Seth taught him this throwing form too.  At least he's fairly accurate.

Don't worry, I'll work with him next season.  I think Seth must have been more of a hitter...heehee.
