So Long Dad! Catch Lots of Fish and Hurry Home!

Stunna Shades

Squeezing in some quality time before Dad has to leave.

"You could have packed a little lighter Dad!"

"I totally could have gotten it, but you can help if you insist."

"Got your ears on Cooter?"

Is this thing on?

Best view on the boat and Ryker's favorite seat for seeing all the dogs on the walking path and everyone that is coming to the boat.

Yep, he saw Dad headed back up to the pickup.  That's always exciting!

He yelled, "Dad" out this window for about a half hour straight.

Tike, Ryker's new BFF.  What a great dog!  He belongs to Scott, one of the guys that crews with Seth.  Ryker had a great time playing with him at the marina.

House Progress

Seth got some stain on the facia before he left for Alaska.

Our radiant floors are ready to be covered with a thin layer of concrete. That will probably happen when it warms up....maybe May or June.

Yes!  We gave gutters.  That will help with the moat surrounding our house.

A Boys Best Friends

Ryker now insists on feeding the dogs.  If I do when we're in a hurry, he gets mad.

Chacon starts with a few peices that missed the bowl.

Love you Cosmos

Love you Chacon

Ryker and Seth often use Cosmos as a pillow when they take a break in the yard, but I don't have any pictures of that.  Here's Ryker hanging with Chacon though.

Buds

"Hold on Chacon, I have to take this call."

Ryker's Random Stuff

Ryker got this potato off the counter and insisted on keeping it for days.

He used it as a phone for a while, pushed it around like a car, attempted to throw it like a ball, but I put a stop to that.  I'm not quite sure what the deal was.  Maybe since he didn't know what it was, he was trying to figure it out.
Anyone for potato peek a boo?
I made the mistake of pulling all the empty hangers out of my closet and putting them within his reach.

He didn't play with them for too long before he realized he could break the hanger part off.  He started breaking them all, so I had to end the fun.

The only thing he enjoys more than cruising in his towel, is cruising naked!

He actually isn't bad at vacuuming.

Let's get this thing running Dad.  I'm ready to mow.

He can now work his zippers so I often find him like this.

See Grandpa Geoff, he's going to need a pony.  He can't wear the hat with the car forever.

After this smashing incident, I don't think he can wear the hat anymore anyway.

Smelt Derby 2010

Seth helping Ryker fish for his first smelt.

Clayton rigging up all the poles.  He was the only one that showed up prepared.  How weird is that?
Ryker checking out the catch so far.

Aidan showing Ryker all kinds of great stuff.  Pay attention buddy, this kid can show you how the big kids do it!

Da da da......the final product....a smelt eating a candlefish!

The whole gang.

Ryker really wanted the end of his pole to be in the water at all times so we had to monitor him so he didn't throw it in.

Break time.  Let's see if Alexis has any snacks in that chair.

Double fisted.

And I've blown my cover.  Ryker spotted me on the other dock taking pictures and he was off and running.

Happy Easter Weekend!

Happy Easter Dad!  Sorry you can't be here to hunt eggs with us, but your basket is much too big anyway!  We miss you!

Sorry I haven't had many posts lately, but I'm back with a big announcement.  We are expecting a new baby October 4th.  Yes, that is Ryker's birthday and our anniversary.  How everything keeps hitting that date, I do not know.  With my history though, that means the baby will really arrive about October 17th.  I'm finally getting some energy back, so maybe I can stay up past 8:00 and keep up with this blog now.  If nothing else, I'll get my backlog of photos up this weekend while my Mom is here to keep Ryker occupied.

Lions and Tigers and Bears....and Hippos?

Ryker likes to throw on his lion suit every once in a while.

He rolls around the house and does a lot of ROARing.

Sometimes a lion has to scratch his back.

Sometimes a lion likes to hide.

And sometimes a lion likes to ROAR at the perfect time, just as your walking past looking for him.

Sometimes a lion must rest and eat carrots.

We went to the zoo the over the weekend before Seth left for Alaska.

I didn't get many pictures because I was too busy looking at stuff.  Ryker LOVED the hippos and the gorillas.
