Test Driving the Ruby Grace

Peder was longlining so, being the nice people that we are, we took out the Ruby Grace a couple times to make sure she was seaworthy.

We didn't leave a stone unturned.  We checked opened every cupboard and tested every bunk!

Outside of Friday Harbor after we spent the night there.

The Ruby Grace next to the Magnus Martins.  These two namesakes were Peder's grandparents.  The Magnus Martins was named by Pete's brother.

Next stop, Lopez Island!

Fisherman's Bay on Lopez.

Unloading in LaConner.

We even "kid tested" it!

Dinner in Friday Harbor.

Leaving LaConner

I'm usually only quick enough to get one good shot before it turns to this......

Which are actually probably better pictures anyway....

Waiting for the ferry to dock at Friday Harbor.

Ahhhhh......Lopez......what are you up to now.  We paddle boarded out to this thing but have know idea what it is.

Hooking on to a mooring buoy at Sucia Island!  So excited to finally go here.  No ferries stop here and you can only access it by personal boat.

We cruised all over this island and only saw one other man out jogging until we got back to our boat.  There was a group having a birthday party at one of the campsites, but other than that, we had the whole island to ourselves!

The Ruby Grace is right in the center, farthest boat out.

Baby geese, up close and personal!

Getting ready to paddle back for the night.

Good Morning Matey's!  Next stop, Orcus Island!

We met up with the Werder's who were visiting Arie's Dad.

Such a looooonnnnng weekend.

Ryker cut the web between his fingers on Orcus so Seth and Kya dropped us off in Anacortes.  We walked up to the doctor hospital and got him all fixed up while Kya and Seth took the boat back to LaConner.  When we were done, we walked to Grandma Vi's to wait for them to come pick us up.
Such a fun weekend.  Making memories with these kids is always a blessing!
