Made it to Montana

This is how hot it was....couldn't keep clothes on these two!

We brought the Schlepp's some Riversong Farm berries.  Ryker and Kya were not impressed with the amount Kase wasted.  Those things are more valuable than gold to them.

We traveled to Red Lodge for the 3rd of July festivities.

Staring contest

Parade time!

.

Kya found an old Easter egg hidden in the park!

Stick horse rodeo

Yep, I'm taking a picture of your naked butt!

Run!!!
Ryker had a great hiding spot and Grandma never would have found him, but this little naked man followed him in and then took a leak right next to him.  Needless to say, Ryker abandon his hiding place!

Pretty pleased with her new shirt and boots from the Farm and Ranch store.  She'll never be accused of not being flashy enough. Thanks Grandma!

Laurel 4th of July parade.

BNSF won the parade.  They were dumping buckets of candy all along the route, plus how cool is this thing!

Probably the only 2 kids, that new what this car was called.

Hu Hot!  Yes, please!

Another game of hide and seek.  Ryker is behind that tree, perfectly hidden, but someone is giving away his spot again....haha.

Made it to Wibaux.  Excited to go anywhere they want on their bikes!

Ryker wanted to sit in the front row of the Medora Musical this year.  I haven't sat there since I was a kid.  It was actually a nice change to see it from a different perspective.

100 years of the National Parks tribute.

The jump roping act was fabulous!

This is my view on most of my runs.  I used to have to wait for them, now they stop periodically or ride back to me when I get too far behind.  From all the comments I get, most people that see us find it pretty entertaining.

We had some crazy weather this summer!  Lots of great thunderstorms, temps above 100, and even some hail.

They didn't want to go to the pool much this summer.  Just the creek.  My kind of kids.

We caught lots of minnows to play with every day.

Monkey bar fights

Medora Fun Park

Torturing Grandma at the park.  Don't feel too bad for her though, a lot of the shenanigans are her idea to start with.  Ryker just always has to take it to the next level.

Wild West Gun Slingers

It's a scorcher in the badlands today!

Lunch on Grandma's deck.

We have the town to ourselves today!

Bacon's baby calf

Breakfast time

Uh, oh here come the "why can't we have a dog questions" again.

Let's ride!

Cowboy Colter giving rides

Showing Keaton all the cool swimming holes.

She was feeding him and can't get over the fact that he took the spoon away from her.  She couldn't stop laughing.

We let him keep his and just got another.

Off on another adventure.

First time I realized my phone had a lightning feature.  This is exactly what it looked like outside too!

Another dusting of snow.  It will be 90 degrees in an hour and it will be gone again.  The kids were loving this weather!

Made it to the McCabes.  Animals galore!

Crop tour with O'C and Todd

Ryker is so fascinated with machinery.

My phone pictures are terrible, but they had so much fun running around with these goats and pigs.

Ryker in his element.  He just had to sit down with one kitten and all the pets stopped by to say hi.

I would love to know what they were talking about.  They sat here for quite a long time.  I took these pics through the kitchen window so they have no idea we are watching them.

Game time.  It did not go smoothly.  Kara had to pull out an instructional video, but it was still confusing.

Sorry worked out a lot better.  The adults should probably just stay out of it and let the kids pick the games.

I mustache you a question.

Kya had to lend the kitten she was holding to Autumn to get in on the fun so I guess he figured she'd give her the rabbit ears too.

Snacks for the ride home!

The band is back together.

Fort time
We had a great time visiting the McCabe's in Redstone.  One funny story, Kya had come out of the house looking for me and we were in the shop.  One of the dogs came running up to her and she kind of thought it was a Lassie situation where the dog was going to lead her to me.  She followed it over to a piece of machinery where it started to dig and bark.   There was a bunch of scratching and squealing sounds coming from inside so she went to look for an adult again.  Her retelling the story to us was really funny but when we went to investigate what it was, we found a Mama skunk and babies.  Good thing she didn't investigate herself!

Creek bones....pretty excited about this find!

Neighborhood football

From the red McCabe tractors to the green Miske tractors.  Deciding if he's a Case or John Deere kind of guy.

Once thing he is certain of is that he's a motorcycle kind of guy!

Kya's turn for a ride.

Colten trying to get a picture of him jumping over Ryker.  Sooo close.

Collecting our breakfast.

Washing the eggs

The boys are back in the football lot.

Syndi took them both on a long ride.  They both loved it and were so happy to find a horse they can ride without help.

That smile....pure joy on her ride.

Ryker was in heaven that Colton came with us to Medora after spending the morning at their house.

Colten and Ryker spent a lot of time on this wall.

Colten is such a good sport.  He played all the games they wanted to play at the park even though it was 100 degrees and I was just sitting in the shade.  He is so nice to them and such a good "big kid" to look up to.  He engages in almost everything they want to do and appropriately redirects them to something else when he doesn't want to.  He listens to all their crazy little kid stories even when I tune them out.  Haha.  This day especially, he was with us from 9am until 8pm.  That's a long time to spend with kids so much younger than you!  I love overhearing them tell someone about him.  Fun, cool, and nice are always in their description.  Ryker always wants me to show him the Wibaux Paper when he's in it.

Ryker lovin' on Mylee.  It was a long, hot day and he actually fell asleep here.

The Longhorn Platter did not disappoint!

Pickup cab is full.  Scrubs in the back or walk home!

Don't ever forget kids, you have a pretty kick ass life.

Love these big fellas!

I cleaned out some of my Mom's Christmas stuff while I was home.  Time to get rid of our old stockings.  These things are at least 30 years old.

Tired girls.

All the grandkids

Keaton wanting up there bad.  It's hard to be the little guy.

Snuggled in for a movie

Keaton Potato head

Kya couldn't get enough of this.  I think he tried out every mouth.

Getting though the laser maze.

Big Winner!  Look at all those tickets coming out!

Favorite dish at Rib and Chop house.

Seriously, 98 degrees and this is the only shade tree?   I was wishing I had left my umbrella in when I loaded the car for vacation.

We spent a lot of time at Lake Elmo this year.  They actually chose it a couple times over the Oasis.  We had to go buy some tubes though.

We had it all to ourselves this day and I got a nice shady spot.

We came back in the afternoon with Keaton.

I'm going to dump this on your feet......wahahaha!

Out walking with Mylee....she is not used to this leash.

We watched Emery for a couple days while Ty and Nikki were gone.  I never once laid her down for her nap.  She always gave up the fight before I got her to her bed.  Ryker and Kya are exhausting!

The mountains are calling and we must go...plus it's to damn hot in Billings.
Westbound in a couple days!

Ryker and Kya sporting their "Emery hairdo's."

Emery does not think Kya's looks good....

She's going to jerk it right off her head!

Sorting cherries for Kara's realtor gifts.

Oh Kase....

Ryker helping out with the potty training.

Two blueberries on a bush when it comes to these 2 fruit lovers.

Gang's all here!

We are one lucky family to be able to have such great experiences with such great people!
